1Does having a UK Visa mean I can work all throughout Europe?

Unfortunately it's not that easy! If you are travelling on an Australian or New Zealand Passport you will need to apply for an appropriate Visa for each country you wish to work in.

2Can I use my Australian Drivers Licence whilst in the UK?

For the first year yes you can, then you need to apply for a local Drivers licence.

3What countries can I work in on my UK Visa?

England, Wales, Scotland and the Northern Ireland. If you wish to work in the Republic of Ireland you need to apply for an Irish Working Visa.

4Do I need to have a return flight home booked prior to leaving?

The great news is no you don't! So long as you are travelling on a visa (except a tourist visa) you only need a one way ticket to the UK which means you will have more spending money in your back pocket. Once in the UK you are free travel around as you choose - make the most of your time there, head to Paris for the weekend!

5How hard is it to find a job and accommodation whilst in the UK?

6How do I go about seeing a doctor in the UK?

Upon your arrival in the UK you need register with your local doctor. Once you have registered with them, you are free to go down and see them as and when required. Make sure you register with one as soon as possible once you arrive.. don't wait until you get ill to figure it out.

7Where is the best place in London to grab a pint?

The best known Aussie pub is Walkabout. You will find one located in all major areas (http://www.walkabout.eu.com/home/venues). Be sure to stop in and grab a drink.. You'll be surprised by how many friendly faces you see.

8What are the biggest sporting events in the UK?

Be sure to get yourself along to at least one of these fun days out: Grand National (which is held in April), Cambridge Oxford Boat Race and Wimbledon. All events are big in the UK and lots of fun is had by all.

9Where is the best place to go to buy second hand furniture or event
tickets?

The UK's number one site for everything - GUMTREE - http://www.gumtree.co.uk. Here you will find loads of second hand goods and discounted offers.

10What's the one-stop shop you must visit once you arrive in the UK?

PRIMARK!! Primark has absolutely everything you'll need, from pillows to a great outfit for a night on the town!!
